About Us


The Department is headed by a highly experienced Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) A.N. Mishra. He has strong research background based on speech recognition, noise robust acoustic feature extraction, audio-visual speech recognition. He has rich experience of working in a team actively and collaboratively, and also strong motivation to advancement of speech technology research. The department comprises of faculty who have excelled in various fields of Electronics and Communication. The department conducts workshops, symposia and faculty development programs regularly for improving the teaching and learning quality. Our students are implementing their skills and the knowledge in the companies such as HP, Tech Mahindra, Mentor Graphics, Robotech Pvt. Ltd., HCL Technologies, TCS, IBM India, Genpact, etc as Telecom Engineer, Circuit Designer, Software Engineer, etc.

    To prepare to excel in undergraduate program and succeed in industrial/technical profession through rigorous theoretical and practical education.

    To provide students with a solid foundation in mathematics, science and electronics engineering fundamentals which is required to solve engineering problems in industry or society and which also help them in pursuing higher studies.

SCOPE OF THE DEPARTMENT
The graduates from this department have become professional engineers, employed both in core and software companies. They are well represented at core companies, such as Robert Bosch, Qualcomm, Aricent Group, Wipro and as well as smaller start-up companies. They have become successful software developers and managers in the leading software companies, such as Thought works, Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions, HCL Technologies, TCS, Igate etc. Many of our students pursue higher education to obtain MS, MBA and PhD degrees in foreign universities. Also, some of the graduates working in Public sector units, such as BSNL, National Thermal Power Corporation(NTPC) Ltd, DRDO, ISRO, BHEL, BEL etc.

Message:

The fast advancing world expects a student to be aware of latest technologies in the world. An engineer not only should be able to write and speak well but should also possess ability to work with own hands and guide his juniors. He should be a leader and need to lead by actions. These qualities are possible only if students start feeling like an engineer and a responsible person and performs all roles expected of them to the best of their abilities. Students should sincerely attend extra classes like PDP, concept clearing etc. apart from regular classes, to be able to prepare team for outside world.

IE3D Skill Development


IE3D Tool-IE3D is an integral equation and method of moment based EM simulator.IE3D mainly focuses on general planar and 3D metallic structures in layered dielectric environments. It is extremely efficient, accurate and flexible for such structures.It is a complete electromagnetic tool, a Computer Aided Design switch.Integral equation in three dimensions (IE3D) is basically used as simulation tool for fractal antenna.IE3D is more suitable tool in designing of planer antennas.

These circuits should also be simulated on Pspice and implemented using TL082, LM741, NE555, ASLK, MPY634 KP connecting wires, Power Supply, function generator and oscilloscope. Student will also study different sensors and will be able to make devices having computational intelligence (ROBOTICS).

Winter/Summer Schools


Summer and Winter Schools are conducted during summer and winter break for the students in PCB designing, Designing on MULTISIM, Antenna Designing (IE3D), MATLAB Programming and Embedded System, to provide practical knowledge and to give hands-on experience to students. MATLAB



MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a multi-paradigm numerical computing environment and fourth-generation programming language. A proprietary programming language developed by MathWorks, MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, Fortran and Python.


Embedded Design

Summer Schools


IE3D



IE3D is an integral equation and method of moment based EM simulator. IE3D mainly focuses on general planar and 3D metallic structures in layered dielectric environments. It is extremely efficient, accurate and flexible for such structures. It is a complete electromagnetic tool, a Computer Aided Design switch. Integral equation in three dimensions (IE3D) is basically used as simulation tool for fractal antenna. IE3D is more suitable tool in designing of planer antennas.
