Executive Summary (About Self)

As Head of Applied Sciences it is my Endeavour to lead, manage and develop the department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities, for which I provide strong academic leadership and executive following functions:
Academic Responsibilities

  • To develop and sustain appropriate structures for management, consultant, decision-making and communication with staff and students.
  • Preparation and execution of academic Plan for both semesters of the session.
  • Preparation of Academic Calendar for the B.Tech first year students.
  • Conduct orientation programme for the newly admitted students.
  • Distribution of students in to various section as per their grades.
  • Effective conduction of regular classes.
  • Provide necessary support to registrar for enrolment of the students.
  • Conduction and Evaluation of three Session Tests in each semester of the Academic Session.
  • Analyze the performance of the students on the basis of Sessional Tests and take necessary remedial action for improving the performance of the students in University Examinations.
  • Planning and execution of revision classes and crash courses for the inderperforming students.
  • Ensure that college HR policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Ensure that staff performance is managed appropriately and that fair workload allocation processes are in place.
  • Ensure all staff have access to the necessary support to enable them to contribute fully and develop their skill and experience.
  • Engender a culture of excellence, co-operation and respect both within and beyond the department.
  • Make effective use of all staffing resources.
  • Ensure students are included as appropriate in the various decision making forum within the department.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for both staff and students and full compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure the highest levels of quality, integrity and ethics in all research undertaken.
  • Create a dynamic and forward looking research environment for both staff and students.
